Woman Abducts 9-Month-Old Baby A Day After Release From Prison.
The police in Central Region are on a manhunt for a 33-years-old woman, an ex-convict, for allegedly abducting a nine-month-old baby boy from the parents at Agona Swedru.
Patricia Gordoh was released from the Nsawam Prison last Saturday having served a year for committing similar offence, and went on to abduct the baby the next day from a church.

She was said to have on Sunday morning struck acquaintance with the father of the child, James Ayesu, who is the head pastor of the Salvation House Prayer Ministry.

According to Chief inspector Philip Arthur of the Domestic Violence and Victims Support U it of the Police at Agona Swedru, the suspect went to the home of the pastor on Sunday, June 9 and introduced herself as a native of Akyem Etwereso where the pastor also hails from.

Gordoh, according to the Police, offered to join the pastor and his family for the Sunday morning service at their church.

After the church service, the suspect who had then become known to the family, took the baby and his seven-year-old sister from their parents under the guise of buying them food.

The suspect allegedly proceeded to the Agona Swedru lorry station where she left the seven year old girl and bolted with the baby.

Chief inspector Arthur said that the couple got home only to find that their two children had not returned, causing them to initiate search for them.

Eventually, he said, the seven-years-old girl was found at the lorry station without the baby and the suspect.

The matter was thus reported to the Police and preliminary investigations revealed Gordoh was in 2018 handed a year jail term for committing similar offence at Akyem Oda in the Eastern Region.

He said Gordoh was released from the Nsawam Prison on Saturday, June 8.
