Abubakar Shekau, leader of Jama’atu Ahlissunnah Lidda’awati Wal Jihad otherwise known as Boko Haram, boasts that he cannot be arrested because he is doing the work of satan and ‘He will protect him.’
“Nobody can apprehend me, because I’m doing satan's work. He will protect me like those doing similar work and seeking His protection,” Shekau said in response to the Nigerian Army’s fresh manhunt for him and his top commanders.
President Muhammadu Buhari had also said during his campaign for office that he would defeat Boko Haram within a short time of his taking office.
However, Shekau said nobody can arrest him because he is doing the work of satan who will protect him.
“Nobody can apprehend me, because I’m doing Satan's work.
“I’m very sure satan will protect my commanders. We are all doing satan's work.”
Shekau was shown in the video sitting in the midst of two of his fighters holding guns.
Shekau vowed that the war would continue even after him.
“Arresting me will not stop the work we started. What confuses you is you think the religion is mine but it belongs to Satan, he said.
Who ever kill innocent people is of satan.
