Bacteria Warning Issued For Several Los Angeles Beaches.

 

The Los Angeles County Department of Public Health cautioned residents before swimming or surfing at several local beaches.

LOS ANGELES, CA — Several beaches from Malibu to San Pedro are under bacteria warning, the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health announced Tuesday night.

People are urged to be careful before playing or swimming in the ocean at the following beaches:

  • Malibu Lagoon at Surfrider Beach
  • Inner Cabrillo Beach in San Pedro
  • Ballona Creek at Dockweiler State Beach (near Dockweiler Tower 40)
  • Mother's Beach in Marina Del Rey
  • Santa Monica Pier in Santa Monica

"The warning has been issued due to bacterial levels exceeding health standards when last tested," public health officials said.
